Poetry

Poetry is what many people call "A flow of emotions from the heart". However, different poems have different emotions. The emotions in Edgar Allen Poe's poem called "The Raven" is fear and sadness. In Jack Prelutsky's "Rat for Lunch" the emotions are clearly happiness and disgust. I believe poetry is people expressing their feeling openly for all to hear.

Poetic devices are basically the organs of a poem. If it doesn't have one of the list, it doesn't exist.

Rhyme-Not needed all the time but I think it makes it sound better.

Imagery-Words that make images in your mind. Most horror poems have imagery.

Onomatopoeia-I know it's hard to pronounce. Onomatopoeia's are in comic books and action movies. Examples are "POW!", "BOOM" and "KABLOOIE!"

Point of view-Some poems have more than one person telling the story!

And so on...
